One of the things I look forward to the most with eating certain dishes and the like, is the sauces \ spices \ etc. I’m not sure if this would be one of them though, but I’m a special case when it comes to all this. Irony aside, this should be a good sauce for dipping, and not jus because two of those words are in the title!

  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin
  • 1 tablespoon minced green onions
  • 1 teaspoon minced lemongrass
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds

In a small bowl, combine the ingredients and mix well. If not using right away, cover and refrigerate until needed. Properly stored, the sauce will keep for 3 to 4 days… Makes about 1⁄2 cup.
